Two weeks ago, my brother was diagnosed with leukemia.

He has lost all of his hair and gets made fun of quite frequently in school. yesterday, the girl he has liked for over 3 years walked into school with her hair shaved.

As a child, I remember begging on the streets for money. I also remember a little boy who used his allowance to buy my mother and I food each weekend.

Today I visited my grandparents house, where I saw a valentines card on the table.

The card read ‘My darling wife, you are the one who makes my life complete and I’ll love you as long as I live’.

My grandad’s a widower.

No no reason. He just hasn’t been able to find ANYONE who will take him and neither can I. I desperately look everywhere. I mean I live in LA but FUCK everyone anywhere are assholes. I can’t even ask for an apprenticeship before they look me up and down and take me as a joke. I mean as said he’s just considered that because he works out of his house but thats exactly why we want to start our own shop. We don’t care what people think of us. We feel like we can earn our respect but as for getting an apprenticeship everyone is so secretive about it all and it really sucks. Nobody wants to teach me shit and I feel as though its because I’m not older or have visible tattoos. Idk though thats just what I think.

oh so you don’t really consider them close friends? I’m just about to  start all of this. Me and a couple of friends want to open our own shop so i’m just trying to figure all this out so if i do end up getting a tattoo done by you sorry if i ask a lot of questions. It’s just your my favorite tattoo artist! 

it’s not that I don’t get along with any of them, they’re just not my kind of people, they go to the bar every night etc. Make sure if you open a shop you’ve got someone with 5+ years of experience helping you out or the industry is gonna shun you! haha sounds stupid but I’m dead serious, this is an industry steeped in respect and tradition, they don’t take kindly to people skipping steps in the system.

Well IF that ever happened, do you know anyone that would be able to help us? Cause we all want that respect and know all about it but as of right now only one of us tattoos and he does it out of his house. Take into the matter he’s really good (better than most tattoo artists I’ve seen out here) but yet still considered a scratcher. How would we go about looking for a person with experience in the business?
